On November 8, the Guangzhou-Milan cargo route will be launched at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.
Earlier this month, Air China Cargo also opened a new route from Guangzhou to Madrid, the capital of Spain. The opening of the two routes will greatly facilitate the logistics transportation between China and Europe.
In addition, YTO Express opened a route from Guangzhou to Lahore, Pakistan, on November 2. Also, AeroLogic launched the route from Leipzig (Germany) to Guangzhou and then to Cincinnati (Ohio, USA) on November 4.
Lahore is an important city along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The opening of the new route will provide a more convenient logistics channel for bilateral trade.
According to the Guangdong Airport Authority, the newly-opened four international cargo routes plus the 16 international cargo flights per week are expected to provide more than 1,400 tons of air transportation capacity, which will inject new impetus into the development of Baiyun Airport and the building of Guangzhou as an international air cargo hub.
